Koutaiba Al Janabi
Koutaiba Al Janabi is a Britain-based Iraqi filmmaker, director and photographer born in Baghdad, who documented Wasteland: Between London and Baghdad.
Koutaiba attended the Academy of Drama and Cinema in Budapest, Hungary. He stayed in Hungary after film school for over seven years, working in film and television for various broadcasters and production companies before making his move to London.
Koutaiba speaks Arabic, English and Hungarian. He has undertaken projects in Saudi Arabia, the Persian Gulf states, Egypt, Lebanon, Iraq, Oman and Morocco.
